Somnath Pal, aka Som (preferred name), is a Superani artist, animation filmmaker, art director, and comic book illustrator currently located in Mumbai, India.
Som graduated as an Electrical Engineer, before gravitating towards the visual arts and pursuing a two year Animation masters programme at IDC, IIT Bombay.
Som’s fascination with visual media has seen him working on a variety of projects within the industry, some of which include; production design for the award winning live action film, ‘Court’, animating and directing his own animated short, ‘Death of a Father’, and working as an art director for a VFX studio.
However, Som’s love for sequential stories has since brought him back as an artist for the comic industry, presently debuting for Boom Studios, ‘Crocodile Black’, in collaboration with Phillip Kennedy Johnson.

Everyone that requests to be added to the waiting list is recorded on a waiting list sheet in contact order. When the next space or opportunity opens, even if we advertise the opportunity, we will first email everyone on the waiting list in contact order first. If you are next on the list, your place will be held for 24 hours after being contacted by email for you to confirm yes or no. If you do not have the budget at the point of the opportunity, you can remain on the waiting list for the next opportunity.
