Olivier Vatine is an established, award winning French illustrator, concept artist and author in the comic book industry. He is also well known for his illustrative work in the film and TV industry.
Olivier studied fine art in Rouen in 1977, where he met Thierry Cailleteau, and together they made ‘Fred et Bob’, ‘Stan Pulsar’, and the bestselling sci-fi epic, ‘Aquablue’. Vatine’s graphic novel, ‘Niourk’, was nominated for an Eisner Award. Vatine first started working in the American comic book market with Dark Horse Comics, on Star Wars series, ‘Heir to the Empire’. He has also worked with Delcourt, Ankama, Glenat, Soleil Productions, Dark Horse, Marvel Comics and more. Vatine has also worked in advertising, editorial illustration (Mad Magazine) and animation.
